Small and old delightful cottage,surrounded by lavender fields,t the edge of the wood. Comfortable and relaxing all the year round, it becomes peculiar when lavender flowers.
The time of flowering goes from the end of june till the middle of august, and it starts with the Medicinal Lavender (or angustifolia, or true lavender), followed by the Hybrid Lavender (or "Lavandin").
During this period we are all taken up in several phases of the picking: first we cut the Medicinal Lavender to prepare died flowers for culinary use,then we cut it for the distillation of the essential oil.
Afterwards we proceed picking up the flowers of the Hybrid Lavender wich is used for decoration bunches,then for the essential oil and at the end,for the dried and ungeared flowers for filling sachets and pillows.
